The Shadow and the Darkness (1996)
Deep in the heart of Africa, the construction of a vital railway bridge is falling dangerously behind schedule. To set things right, engineer John Henry Patterson is brought in to oversee the project. At first, everything seems to be going smoothly—until a horrifying discovery shatters the calm. The mutilated body of the site foreman is found, his gruesome wounds suggesting a brutal attack by a lion.
What begins as an isolated tragedy soon spirals into sheer terror. More workers fall prey to the relentless predator, their lifeless bodies leaving a trail of fear and chaos. With morale plummeting and construction grinding to a halt, Patterson realizes he is facing not just an animal, but a cunning and merciless killer. Desperate to end the nightmare, he enlists the help of the legendary hunter Remington Charles, a man renowned for tracking the deadliest of beasts.
But as the hunt unfolds, Patterson and Remington discover they are up against something far more terrifying than an ordinary lion—something almost supernatural in its bloodthirsty vengeance. The battle for survival has begun.
