Sabrina (1995)

Sabrina (1995) is a romantic comedy film directed by Sydney Pollack, based on the 1954 classic of the same name. This modern remake stars Julia Ormond as Sabrina Fairchild, Harrison Ford as Linus Larrabee, and Greg Kinnear as David Larrabee.

The story follows Sabrina, the shy and awkward daughter of the Larrabee family’s chauffeur. She has been infatuated with the charming and carefree David Larrabee, the younger son of the wealthy family, since childhood. After spending time in Paris and transforming into a confident and elegant woman, Sabrina returns home, catching David’s attention for the first time.

However, her reappearance threatens a crucial business merger that David is involved in. To protect the deal, his older brother Linus, a serious and work-driven executive, steps in with a plan to distract Sabrina—but soon finds himself unexpectedly falling for her.

The film explores themes of love, identity, transformation, and class differences, all wrapped in a light, stylish, and romantic tone. With a graceful score by John Williams and gorgeous cinematography, Sabrina (1995) offers a charming update to the original tale for a new generation.
