EXTREMELY RARE DISCOVERY: MOM GIVES BIRTH TO IDENTICAL TRIPLET BOYS
A British mother who initially believed she had welcomed non-identical baby boys received an extraordinary surprise when DNA testing revealed her triplets were genetically identical. Becki-Jo Allen, 23, and her partner Liam were raising their young daughter, Indiana, when they decided to expand their family. After experiencing severe headaches and intense morning sickness, an early scan revealed she was expecting three babies.

“I was completely shocked,” Becki-Jo recalled, noting there were no triplets anywhere in their family tree. At 31 weeks pregnant, she delivered three boys—Roman, Rocco, and Rohan—via Caesarean section. Being born prematurely, the brothers required specialist neonatal care before finally returning home after a month in the hospital.
Initially, the boys were thought to be non-identical, but friends and family constantly remarked on their uncanny resemblance. Intrigued, Becki-Jo arranged for a DNA test, which confirmed that all three boys shared identical genetic material. The odds of naturally conceiving identical triplets are exceptionally rare, estimated at roughly one in 200 million pregnancies.

Despite their identical appearance, each brother has developed a distinct personality. Becki-Jo admits the only time they look completely identical to her is when they are asleep. Managing three newborns has transformed daily family life, requiring around 130 diapers every week, along with endless supplies of wipes and bottles. Fortunately, big sister Indiana adores her three younger brothers, turning this unexpected pregnancy into an unforgettable journey filled with triple the love.
