Put your hooves where I can see them!
A runaway cow sparked a police chase through a New York town — and even escaped an attempt to lasso her as she quickly trotted down a roadway.
Maggie, a 4-year-old Highland cow, escaped from Little Cabin’s Farm in Carmel on Tuesday and ran loose across the quiet Putnam County suburb over the weekend, News12 reported.
The adorable cow was seen bounding down a road as witnesses shouted from their cars and cops chased her in a video obtained by the outlet.
“Holy sh-t! It’s a cow!” one person is heard yelling. “Oh my god, he’s running straight at my car,” another person said.
An officer was seen attempting to lasso Maggie from the roadway and eventually brought her to a stop, the outlet reported
Little Cabin’s Farm said that Maggie, who is originally from Massachusetts, is now safe and reunited with her calf after her brief adventure in the wild.
“She got a little freaked out and jumped out and went to the woods, so we were behind her for four days,” one of the farm’s owners, Marianna Brophy, told the outlet.
