🚨🔎 BREAKING UPDATE: NEW DETAILS EMERGE ABOUT THE HORSCH FAMILY’S FORMER CHALFONT HOME — AND THE BARRELS ARE RAISING QUESTIONS

As investigators continue examining the disturbing evidence recovered from the Horsch family’s former property in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood, attention is now turning toward another location connected to Eugene Horsch and his late father, Raymond “R.C.” Horsch.

This time, the focus is on their former home in Chalfont, Bucks County.

A childhood friend of Eugene, Jeremy Perry, recently spoke with Action News about what he remembered from visiting the property when they were growing up.

One detail immediately stood out:

Blue 55-gallon drums.

Perry told Action News that he remembered seeing numerous blue barrels in the garage and estimated that another 20 to 30 barrels were stored in a shed toward the back of the property.

WHY ARE THE BARRELS GETTING ATTENTION?

The memory has attracted renewed interest because investigators later found a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines inside Eugene Horsch’s Philadelphia home on West Chew Avenue.

Authorities also recovered chemicals and other unidentified substances from that property. The materials have been sent for testing as investigators work to determine their nature and potential relevance to the broader investigation.

But there is an important distinction:

There is currently no public evidence showing that the barrels Perry remembers from the Chalfont property were used for anything connected to the missing-women investigation.

In fact, authorities have said they had not yet searched the former Chalfont property at the time of the latest reports.

A HOUSE WITH A COMPLICATED HISTORY

Perry also recalled that the Chalfont house eventually burned down and that Raymond Horsch rebuilt much of the interior.

According to Perry, a large steel door was installed during the rebuilding process.

He told Action News that he spent considerable time at the home as a child and said he did not remember being suspicious of Raymond Horsch at the time.

Years later, the family’s history has come under renewed scrutiny because of the investigation surrounding the Olney property.

THE OLNEY INVESTIGATION

The Philadelphia investigation began after Eugene Horsch was arrested in June on federal charges unrelated to the missing-women investigation.

A subsequent search of the West Chew Avenue property uncovered chemicals, hidden compartments, a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines and other items that investigators are continuing to examine.

Authorities have since linked seven missing women to the property through the extensive digital material recovered there. Five are feared to have d#ed, although no human rem#ins have been recovered and Eugene Horsch has not been charged in connection with those disappearances.

Investigators are still reviewing a mᴀssive volume of pH๏τographs and videos while trying to establish the idenтιтies and circumstances surrounding the people shown in the material.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

For now, the Chalfont barrels remain a detail from a witness’s childhood recollection — not a confirmed piece of evidence in the current investigation.

Whether authorities eventually search the former property, and whether anything relevant is discovered there, remains unknown.

As investigators continue working through the evidence from the Olney home, the history of the Horsch family’s former properties is likely to remain under scrutiny.

For the families connected to the missing women, the most important questions are still unanswered.

What happened to the women who disappeared — and what can investigators ultimately prove from the evidence left behind?
