BREAKING? NEW CLAIMS IN NANCY GUTHRIE DISAPPEARANCE: INFORMANT ALLEGEDLY POINTS TO TWO MEN AND A POSSIBLE LOCATION

A new report has raised fresh questions in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, but authorities have not publicly confirmed the allegations.

The search for Nancy Guthrie has taken another reported turn after The Midwest Pundit published claims from a source said to be familiar with the investigation.

According to the report, a man detained following an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Texas allegedly told investigators that he had information about the disappearance of the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie.

The source reportedly described an account involving two men who allegedly planned to burglarize Nancy’s home before the situation escalated into serious violence.

These claims remain unverified, and investigators have not publicly confirmed that the account is accurate.

TWO MEN ALLEGEDLY IDENTIFIED AS PERSONS OF INTEREST

According to the source cited by The Midwest Pundit, the detained man allegedly provided information about what may have happened after the two men encountered Nancy inside her home.

The report claims he also identified a possible location where Nancy may have been taken.

The publication further alleges that investigators are examining information about two men described as persons of interest and are coordinating with ICE and Mexican authorities in an effort to locate them.

Records reportedly showing individuals with matching names crossing into Mexico through the Douglas Port of Entry in mid-February are also said to be under examination.

However, the existence of matching names in border-crossing records would not, on its own, establish that those individuals were involved in Nancy’s disappearance.

The source reportedly indicated that investigators are looking into a location where evidence might be found to support or disprove the account.

If independently corroborated, such information could provide a significant investigative lead. But until authorities verify the claims, it remains unclear whether the alleged account will lead to a breakthrough.

WHAT AUTHORITIES HAVE CONFIRMED

Nancy was last seen at her Tucson, Arizona, home on January 31, 2026, and was reported missing the following day. Investigators have said they believe she was taken against her will.

The FBI previously released surveillance images and video showing an armed, masked individual appearing to tamper with a camera outside her home. Blood found on the porch was confirmed to be Nancy’s.

Federal investigators have also been in contact with Mexican authorities, according to reporting by CBS News. That contact, however, does not confirm that Nancy was taken across the border.

In a September update, authorities said a newly reported ransom note was not credible. Public reporting at that time had not established a named suspect in the case. [Sources: FBI; CBS News; CNN reporting on the investigation.]

A POTENTIAL LEAD — BUT NOT YET A CONFIRMED BREAKTHROUGH

For Nancy’s family and everyone hoping for answers, any credible new lead could matter enormously.

But the distinction between an allegation and verified evidence is crucial in a case this serious. The claims attributed to The Midwest Pundit’s source have not been publicly substantiated by the FBI or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

For now, the most important questions remain unanswered: Can investigators corroborate the informant’s account? Will the reported location yield evidence? And will any of these leads help establish what happened to Nancy?

If the allegations are verified, they could prove significant. Until then, Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains a case in which the public should rely on confirmed investigative updates rather than speculation.
