A night of bull riding ended in heartbreak when 35-year-old Jason Blake Saylor suffered a devastating chest injury at a rodeo in Ohio. Despite wearing protective equipment and receiving emergency medical care, he could not be saved.

A Rodeo Night Turns Tragic

The bull riding community is mourning the loss of Jason Blake Saylor, who died following an accident at Fox Hollow Rodeo in Clearcreek Township, Warren County, Ohio, on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

According to Clearcreek Township police, emergency crews were called to Fox Hollow Stables at approximately 7:41 p.m. after a rider was seriously injured during the event.

Saylor, 35, had suffered a traumatic chest injury after reportedly being kicked or stepped on by a bull. Although he was wearing protective chest equipment, the injuries were severe.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to Atrium Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.

Bull riding is a physically demanding sport in which riders face powerful animals and unpredictable movements. Protective equipment can reduce certain risks, but it cannot eliminate the danger of serious injury.
