The Catholic community in Guayaquil, Ecuador, is mourning the loss of a beloved Redemptorist priest whose years of ministry touched people across several communities.

Father Patricio Sánchez Molinari is being remembered for his dedication to faith, his closeness to young people, and the care he showed to families and those in need.

During the service, a large crucifix in the sanctuary became detached and fell on him.
