“THAT WAS MY LAST CONVERSATION WITH MY WIFE”: HUSBAND SHARES FINAL TEXTS WITH LONG ISLAND MOM OF FOUR

Allison Rahmani, 40, died after her SUV entered her family’s backyard swimming pool. Her husband, Matt, says their final exchange was a brief moment of laughter and affection — one he now treasures more than ever.

The final text messages between a Long Island mother of four and her husband have offered a deeply personal glimpse into their marriage, just moments before an unexpected tᩚraɢedy changed their family forever.

Allison Rahmani, 40, a beloved Nassau County teacher, passed away on August 21 after her SUV entered the swimming pool in the backyard of the family home.

Investigators believe she may have experienced a medical emergency before the vehicle went into the water. Although Allison managed to call for help after the incident, she passed away while being transported to the hospital.

Authorities classified her passing as accidental, and there is no active criminal investigation.

A FINAL EXCHANGE FILLED WITH LOVE AND HUMOR

Shortly before the incident, Allison had been messaging her husband, Matt Rahmani, 39.

He sent her a photograph of a prayer shawl bag she had carefully handmade for him, thanking her for the thoughtful gift.

Allison had spent more than a year and a half making the item, turning it into something especially meaningful for her husband.

Matt also shared a message describing how good he was feeling that day.

“I’m walking into God being like fire,” he texted.

Allison responded with a simple “LOL.”

It was a brief exchange, filled with the kind of playful teasing that had become part of their relationship.

But those ordinary words would soon take on a meaning neither of them could have imagined.

“That was literally the last interaction I had with my wife,” Matt recalled.

He said the conversation captured the humor and closeness they shared — a small moment that has become one of his most treasured memories.

QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED MAY NEVER BE ANSWERED

The circumstances surrounding Allison’s medical emergency remain uncertain.

According to the reports, investigators believed she may have experienced a medical episode before her SUV entered the pool. However, the exact medical cause of her passing may never be established.

A relative explained that the family’s Orthodox Jewish faith places great importance on prompt burial and generally discourages autopsies because of religious beliefs about the treatment of the deceased.

With no suspected criminal activity or other legal grounds identified, authorities had no basis to require an autopsy.

The family has therefore been left without a definitive medical explanation for what happened that day.

THE PRAYER HE SAID AFTER LEARNING ABOUT THE 𝔠r𝘢sh

Matt also shared the prayer he recited immediately after learning that Allison’s vehicle had entered the family swimming pool.

He asked God to protect his wife and their four children, keep them safe and happy, and give him the strength to face whatever challenges might come.

He also prayed for help in releasing the worries beyond his control and finding the faith to trust that everything remained in God’s hands.

After Allison passed away, Matt admitted that he struggled with the memory of having said those words shortly before receiving the devastating news.

The timing left him with complicated emotions.

Yet, rather than abandoning the prayer, he has continued saying it every day.

What once became connected to the most painful moment of his life has also become a source of comfort and a way to remember the family he loves.

A MOTHER, A WIFE AND A LIFE REMEMBERED

For Matt and their four children, Allison’s absence has left a space that cannot be filled.

Her final messages were not a dramatic farewell. They were ordinary words exchanged between two people who loved each other — a thank-you, a joke and a moment of shared happiness.

That is what makes them so meaningful now.

The handmade prayer shawl bag, the playful response and the prayer Matt continues to recite each day have become lasting reminders of their life together.

Sometimes, the memories people hold closest are not grand occasions or carefully planned goodbyes. They are the smallest moments — the ones that seemed ordinary until they became precious.

Allison’s final exchange with her husband was brief, but its meaning will remain with him and their children for a lifetime. May her memory be a blessing. 🤍🕊️
