In an interview with local television station WVLT, Peandra said her daughter had been with a babysitter who took her to the pumpkin patch.

The mother said she had not given permission for the outing and did not know the people Nyxailia was with that day.

According to the report, it was the babysitter’s mother who contacted Peandra to tell her about the accident.

The babysitter’s identity has not been publicly released, and investigators have not announced any criminal charges.
