FLORIDA LEARJET 𝔠r𝘢sh: NINE KILLED IN PALM BEACH COUNTY AS INVESTIGATORS SEARCH FOR ANSWERS

All nine people aboard the private jet died after it plunged into a residential area and erupted into flames. Authorities have not yet released the victims’ identities.

A devastating plane 𝔠r𝘢sh in South Florida has claimed the lives of nine people after a private jet plunged into a residential area of Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1.

The Learjet 60 crashed at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time near Military Trail and 10th Avenue North, close to the Cresthaven community.

The aircraft had departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was travelling to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it went down.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that all nine people aboard the aircraft were killed.

The 𝔠r𝘢sh triggered a massive fire and sent debris across the surrounding area. Video footage showed the jet striking the ground before erupting into flames, leaving a large crater near the roadway.

Hundreds of residents affected by the 𝔠r𝘢sh

Emergency crews rushed to the scene as flames and thick smoke spread through the area.

The impact damaged nearby property and forced authorities to evacuate residents from the surrounding neighborhood while emergency personnel secured the 𝔠r𝘢sh site.

Palm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores said approximately 600 residents needed temporary shelter following the incident. Officials worked with emergency services and the Red Cross to arrange assistance.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the 𝔠r𝘢sh as “cataclysmic” and said the aircraft looked like “a missile going down” before it struck the ground.

Authorities reported no confirmed fatalities among people on the ground in the initial updates. However, the full extent of property damage and the impact on nearby residents remained under assessment.

What happened during the flight?

Air traffic control recordings captured the crew reporting icing and moderate turbulence shortly before the 𝔠r𝘢sh.

The pilot initially described the icing as manageable and requested assistance as conditions developed.

Moments later, the crew declared an emergency. The pilot reported that the aircraft was descending at approximately 10,000 feet per minute before describing an overspeed condition and a descent rate of around 20,000 feet per minute.

“We’re going to 𝔠r𝘢sh into the ground,” the pilot said during the final radio exchanges.

An air traffic controller attempted to maintain contact, responding: “November two bravo delta, I’m here with you, talk to me.”

The final transmission included the words: “We’re out of time.”

Flight-tracking data indicated that the aircraft’s descent rate briefly exceeded 32,000 feet per minute.

Investigators have not established whether icing, turbulence, storms or another factor contributed to the 𝔠r𝘢sh.

Victims have not yet been identified

Despite the confirmation that all nine people aboard died, authorities had not publicly released their names in the initial reports.

Officials also had not provided a full breakdown of how many passengers and crew members were aboard.

As families await official information, investigators are working to establish who was on the flight and what happened during its final moments.

FAA and NTSB launch investigation

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation, with support from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Investigators are expected to examine the aircraft wreckage, flight data, maintenance history, weather conditions and communications between the crew and air traffic control.

The aircraft was identified as a Learjet 60, registered under the tail number N722BD.

The cause of the 𝔠r𝘢sh remains unknown.

For the families of the nine people who lost their lives, the immediate priority is receiving answers about the final flight and the circumstances that led to the tᩚraɢedy.
