20-YEAR-OLD PILOT SENT HEARTBREAKING FINAL TEXT TO HER BOYFRIEND JUST 10 MINUTES BEFORE FATAL PLANE 𝔠r𝘢sh

Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras was living her childhood dream when she sent her boyfriend a brief message about turbulence and ice. Minutes later, the Learjet 60 she was aboard plunged toward the ground, 𝘬iᩚlling all nine people on board.

A 20-year-old pilot sent a heartbreaking final message to her boyfriend just minutes before the private jet she was flying in crashed in Florida.

Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, a young commercial pilot from Palm Beach County, was serving as co-pilot aboard a Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

According to her stepfather, Thiago Corteleti, Nathalia sent her boyfriend a text message at approximately 12:40 p.m. local time.

The message contained just a few words:

“I’ve got turbulence, I’ve got ice.”

Her boyfriend, who is also a pilot, received the message approximately 10 minutes before the aircraft crashed.

At around 12:50 p.m., the Learjet went down in Palm Beach County, Florida, 𝘬iᩚlling all nine people aboard.

The final text has since become one of the most heartbreaking details to emerge from the tᩚraɢedy.

Nathalia’s passion for aviation began when she was still a child.

Growing up in Palm Beach County, Florida, she developed a fascination with flying after joining her father aboard his small Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft.

What started as a childhood interest soon became a serious ambition.

In October 2023, while still a senior at West Boca Raton High School, Nathalia earned her private pilot’s license at just 17 years old.

At the time, she had not yet obtained her driver’s license.

In an interview with CBS12 News, she proudly joked about being able to fly an airplane before she could legally drive a car.

“I definitely do brag because people say, ‘Oh, you can’t drive,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I can fly.’”

Her achievement was supported by the School District of Palm Beach County’s Aviation Academy, which helped fund her pilot training.

She had begun ground school in 2020 and continued working toward her aviation goals throughout high school.

Her family said she eventually accumulated approximately 1,300 flight hours.

By the time of her dєatᩚh, she had been working as a commercial pilot for around nine months.

She dreamed of eventually becoming an airline pilot.

Perhaps the most emotional account came from Nathalia’s mother, Camila.

Speaking to the New York Post after the 𝔠r𝘢sh, she recalled the complicated feelings she had experienced while watching her daughter pursue her dream.

She was immensely proud of Nathalia’s accomplishments, but she also understood the risks associated with aviation.

“I knew that a plane was gonna take her away from me. I always knew it but I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream,” Camila said.

Her words captured the heartbreak of a mother who had supported her daughter’s ambitions while carrying a fear she never wanted to see become reality.

Nathalia would have celebrated her 21st birthday in January 2027.

Instead, her family is now left with photographs, memories and the knowledge that she had spent her final moments doing something she had loved since childhood.

Her mother also remembered how determined her daughter had been to build a future in aviation.

According to the family, Nathalia had worked hard to develop her skills and was well regarded by people in the industry.

WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE FINAL MINUTES OF THE FLIGHT?

The aircraft had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was traveling toward North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

During the flight, the crew communicated with air traffic controllers about changing weather conditions.

According to recorded radio communications, the pilots reported turbulence, icing and precipitation while cruising at approximately 35,000 feet.

The crew initially indicated that the ice accumulation was manageable.

However, conditions continued to develop.

The pilots requested permission to climb to a higher altitude in an effort to find smoother air.

Controllers approved the request.

But shortly afterward, the situation became increasingly serious.

At approximately 12:48 p.m., the crew transmitted a Mayday call.

The aircraft was reportedly experiencing an overspeed condition while descending at an extraordinary rate.

Radio recordings captured the crew struggling to respond as the aircraft rapidly lost altitude.

Nathalia could be heard warning that the plane was going to 𝔠r𝘢sh into the ground.

In one of the final transmissions, she said:

“Holy f***, we’re out of time.”

The communication then ended.

A DESPERATE PRAYER WAS HEARD FROM THE COCKPIT

Another heartbreaking detail emerged from the recordings of the aircraft’s final communications.

During the final moments, a man’s voice could be heard reciting the Lord’s Prayer.

The voice has been identified in media reports as belonging to the aircraft’s captain, Jeff Gregory, 55.

Gregory was also killed in the 𝔠r𝘢sh.

The prayer was particularly poignant after friends revealed that Gregory was a devoted Christian who had been raised in the faith.

The two pilots were facing an increasingly desperate situation as the aircraft continued its rapid descent.

Within moments, the Learjet struck the ground near Greenacres in Palm Beach County.

The impact produced a massive fireball and left a large crater at the 𝔠r𝘢sh site.

All nine people aboard were killed.

NINE PEOPLE DIED IN THE FLORIDA PLANE 𝔠r𝘢sh

Nathalia and Captain Jeff Gregory were among the nine victims.

The passengers included Texas technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their two young children, their nanny Anita Maria Cetina, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.

The aircraft crashed near a residential community, prompting an emergency response and the evacuation of hundreds of residents from the surrounding area.

Authorities reported no fatalities among people on the ground.

The tᩚraɢedy left multiple families grieving the loss of loved ones.

For Nathalia’s family, the loss was especially devastating because she had so much of her life ahead of her.

She had achieved something many people only dream about: turning a childhood passion into a professional career before reaching adulthood.

INVESTIGATORS ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Investigators are examining the aircraft’s flight data, weather conditions, maintenance records and communications between the crew and air traffic control.

Reports of icing and turbulence are important elements of the investigation.

However, authorities have not established a definitive cause of the 𝔠r𝘢sh.

The investigation will need to determine what happened during the aircraft’s final minutes and whether mechanical, environmental or other factors contributed to the disaster.

For now, Nathalia’s final message remains a painful reminder of how quickly an ordinary communication can become a family’s last connection to someone they love.

She was only 20 years old.

She had earned her pilot’s license at 17, worked hard to build her aviation career and dreamed of flying for a major airline one day.

Her mother was proud that she had lived her dream.

But no parent could ever be prepared to lose a child so soon.

Nathalia’s final journey ended far too early, leaving behind a grieving family, a boyfriend who shared her love of flying and a future that will never be lived.
