An extraordinary story of maternal love and heartbreaking l0ss is drawing an outpouring of support after an 8-month-old baby survived a 15-story fall in the Bronx, New York. A fundraiser created to help the infant and her family has reportedly raised more than $32,000, as strangers rally around a child facing an uncertain recovery.

The incident occurred on October 6, 2026. The baby’s mother, 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez, fell from a 15th-floor balcony while holding her daughter. Ramirez later d!ed at the hospital, while her little girl survived and was hospitalized in ᑕriᩚtiᩚcal but stable condition.

According to reports, investigators believe the infant’s mother may have helped shield her daughter during the fall. The heartbreaking circumstances have led many people to remember Ramirez not only as a young mother, but as someone whose final moments may have been spent trying to protect her child.

As the family navigates this devastating period, the fundraising campaign is intended to help with the baby’s ongoing needs and memorial expenses for Ramirez. The donations represent more than financial ᴀssistance: they reflect a community trying to offer support when a family’s life has been changed forever.

Authorities have arrested Ramirez’s former boyfriend, Angel Carrasco, in connection with the incident. He faces serious charges and has pleaded not guilty. The allegations remain subject to the legal process.

For now, attention remains focused on the little girl’s recovery and the relatives who are caring for her. Every donation and message of encouragement offers a reminder that, even in the aftermath of an unimaginable tr@gedy, compᴀssion can bring people together.

The $32,000 raised is a powerful show of support for a baby whose future is still unfolding — and for a mother whose story has touched hearts far beyond her own neighborhood.
