IVF Miracle Boy, 7, Fights for His Life After Being Struck by Car on Halloween Night in Utah

A Utah mother is making an emotional plea for prayers after her seven-year-old son, described as her long-awaited IVF miracle baby, suffered devastating injuries when he was struck by a car while spending Halloween evening with his father.
Hudson Carter, from Spanish Fork, Utah, was hit by a vehicle at around 7:15 p.m. on October 31, as he attempted to cross Spanish Fork Parkway.
According to police, the vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 16-year-old girl. Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the collision, finding Hudson critically injured.
He was initially taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
His mother, Gia, described the injuries as devastating in a fundraising appeal created to help the family through the medical crisis.
Hudson suffered multiple skull fractures, a severe traumatic brain injury with bleeding in his brain, serious lung injuries, a fractured pelvis, at least three broken ribs and damage to his spleen. He also sustained multiple facial injuries.
The little boy remains on life support as his family waits and hopes for a recovery.
A mother’s heartbreaking plea
Hudson is one of three children and has a twin sister who, according to his mother, needs her brother by her side. His older sister also shares a particularly close bond with him.
Gia described the moment she received the call about the accident as one that shattered her world.
She has urged people to keep her son in their thoughts and prayers, sharing an emotional message directly to him:
“Please keep fighting baby, My Hudsy Mac. Mama is right here, baby boy, and I’m not going anywhere.”
She also revealed that she does not blame the teenage driver involved in the collision.
“I hold no anger or animosity toward her. My heart hurts for her, too, and I truly hope she’s okay,” she wrote.
Her message reflects the emotional toll the accident has taken on more than one family.
Police investigate Halloween night collision
Spanish Fork police said the 𝔠r𝘢sh happened near 875 North Spanish Fork Parkway. Witnesses reportedly told investigators that Hudson was wearing dark clothing and a mask and had attempted to cross the road between intersections.
The 16-year-old driver was cooperating with investigators, and the circumstances surrounding the collision remained under investigation in the latest reports.
Police have not announced criminal charges against the teenager.
Meanwhile, Hudson’s family is facing an uncertain and difficult road ahead. A GoFundMe campaign organized by a family friend is raising money to help with medical expenses, transportation and other costs while Gia remains at her son’s bedside.

For a mother who describes Hudson as her little miracle, the only thing she wants now is for her seven-year-old boy to keep fighting and come home.
