24-YEAR-OLD NANNY MADE HEARTBREAKING FINAL VIDEO CALL TO HER SISTER BEFORE diᩚadℓy FLORIDA PLANE 𝔠r𝘢sh — ‘SHE WAS SO HAPPY’

She was excited about her first trip to the Bahamas. Just moments before boarding a private jet, 24-year-old Anita Maria Cetina called her sister, showed her the two children she cared for and proudly turned the camera toward the aircraft. It would become their final conversation.

A family is grieving the heartbreaking loss of a 24-year-old nanny who was among nine people killed when a private jet crashed in Florida while traveling to the Bahamas.

Anita Maria Cetina was working as a nanny for a family traveling aboard a Learjet 60 on Sunday, November 1, 2026, when the aircraft went down in Palm Beach County, Florida.

But before the plane took off, Anita made one final video call to her sister, Angie Ramirez Cetina.

It was an ordinary conversation filled with excitement and happiness. Neither sister knew it would be their last.

In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Angie recalled the emotional final moments they shared.

“We did a video call. She showed me the children, she showed me the plane,” Angie said.

“She was very happy.”

Anita was especially excited because she had never visited the Bahamas before. Although she was traveling as part of her job, her sister said she did not see the trip as work.

“She was truly happy because she had never been to the Bahamas, and even though she was working, she didn’t see it as work. She enjoyed it.”

She loved the job she had, adored the children and cared deeply for the Robinson family.

For Anita, they were much more than the people she worked for. They had become an important part of her life.

The tᩚraɢedy unfolded on Sunday, November 1, when a Learjet 60 departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas at approximately 10:37 a.m. local time.

The aircraft was heading toward North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

There were nine people aboard: two pilots and seven passengers.

Among them were Texas technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen Sharp, 40, and their two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2.

Also traveling with the family were their nanny, Anita Maria Cetina, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.

The pilots were identified as 55-year-old Jeff Gregory and 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Filgueiras.

At approximately 12:51 p.m., the aircraft crashed near Greenacres in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The impact caused a massive fire and left a large crater near a residential community.

All nine people aboard were killed.

The devastating incident shocked residents and prompted a major emergency response.

For Angie, the first moments after the 𝔠r𝘢sh were filled with disbelief.

When she initially saw footage of the Learjet falling to the ground and erupting into flames, she struggled to accept that her younger sister might have been aboard.

“I didn’t want to accept that it might be my sister on the plane,” she recalled.

But the following Monday morning, her mother called with confirmation.

It was the same flight Anita had been traveling on.

The news shattered the family.

Angie later reflected on the memories she shared with her sister and the close relationship they had maintained throughout their lives.

Among her most treasured memories were the moments surrounding the birth of her son.

SHE WAS THERE THROUGH EVERY MOMENT OF HER SISTER’S JOURNEY INTO MOTHERHOOD

Anita was not simply a sister who offered occasional support. Angie described her as someone who had stood beside her through some of the most important moments of her life.

She was there throughout Angie’s pregnancy, from the earliest stages until the day her baby was born.

She also supported her sister during postpartum recovery.

“She was there through my whole journey with my son, from the beginning until the day I had him, through my postpartum recovery. She was right there,” Angie said.

Anita adored her nephew.

According to Angie, the little boy was practically the apple of his aunt’s eye.

The sisters were inseparable, sharing countless memories and experiences that Angie now holds especially close.

The sudden loss has left a void in her life that cannot easily be described.

‘SHE WAS TRULY PART OF THE FAMILY’

Anita’s dєatᩚh also devastated the Robinson family, whose two young children she had cared for.

In a statement shared by relatives, the family remembered her as someone whose love and devotion went far beyond her professional responsibilities.

“She was truly part of the family,” they wrote.

“She showed us a legacy of unconditional love and devotion.”

The words reflected the special bond Anita had developed with the children and their parents.

She had been entrusted with caring for Emma and Charlie, and the family remembered her as a loving and devoted presence in their lives.

Now, the children, their parents and the woman who cared for them are all gone.

The tᩚraɢedy has taken an entire family, their nanny, two close friends and the two pilots in a single devastating incident.

INVESTIGATORS SEARCH FOR ANSWERS AFTER THE FATAL 𝔠r𝘢sh

Following the disaster, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) launched an investigation into what caused the Learjet 60 to 𝔠r𝘢sh.

Initial information from investigators indicated that weather conditions were a major focus.

According to the preliminary timeline presented by NTSB officials, the crew reported icing conditions, moderate turbulence and precipitation shortly before the aircraft began rapidly descending.

The crew also reported significant altitude deviations.

An emergency transmission followed, including a mayday call.

Investigators have also found evidence suggesting that parts of the aircraft may have separated before it struck the ground.

Pieces of the aircraft were discovered as far as 3.8 miles from the main impact site.

On November 5, the NTSB confirmed that investigators had recovered part of an engine and found additional debris on nearby homes and buildings.

Officials stressed that the investigation was ongoing and that no final cause had been determined.

The agency also appealed to members of the public to report any aircraft debris they might discover rather than moving or disposing of it.

NINE LIVES LOST — ONE FINAL CALL THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

For Anita’s sister, the most painful memory may also be the most precious one: that final video call.

She remembers seeing Anita smiling, showing her the children and proudly turning the camera toward the plane.

She remembers how excited her sister was about visiting a place she had never seen before.

She remembers a young woman who loved her work, cared deeply for the children and stood beside her own family through life’s most important moments.

Anita was only 24.

She had a future ahead of her, a nephew who adored her and a family that treasured her presence.

Her final call was never meant to be a goodbye. It was simply a sister sharing her excitement about an upcoming journey.

But it became a memory her loved ones will carry for the rest of their lives.

She boarded the plane believing she was beginning a wonderful trip. Her family never imagined that a few moments of happiness would become their last memories of her.

Rest peacefully, Anita Maria Cetina.

Your love, kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew you.
