The family of Hᴀssan Jihad Ibn Kariem is seeking answers after the 42-year-old father and educator died in an incident involving the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia on October 12, 2026.
According to published reports, Kariem was riding the attraction when he was ejected from his seat. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, while relatives have raised concerns about whether the incident could have been prevented.
Witness accounts have also drawn attention to unusual sounds reportedly coming from the ride’s restraints before it began. However, witness recollections alone cannot establish the cause of the incident. Investigators will need to examine the ride, its safety systems, and other available evidence.
The Goliath attraction was temporarily closed following the incident as the investigation continued. Six Flags said it was cooperating with authorities.
Kariem was remembered by family and colleagues as a devoted father and educator whose life extended far beyond the tragic circumstances of his pᴀssing. His family’s search for answers has renewed attention to the importance of ride inspections, restraint systems, and transparent safety investigations.
At this stage, the confirmed reports concern a roller-coaster incident in Georgia. Claims about footage showing him being thrown from a ship are not supported by the sources reviewed.
