Mother of Two, 26, Falls to Her dєatᩚh From Brazil Hotel’s Seventh Floor After Window Frame Suddenly Gives Way

A 26-year-old mother of two plunged to her dєatᩚh from the seventh floor of a hotel in Brazil after the window frame she was leaning against suddenly gave way, with 𝘴h☉𝔠king CCTV footage capturing the moments before the fatal fall.

Renata Rebeca Negrão Saldanha dos Santos died in the early hours of November 3 at the Rio Poty Hotel in São Luís, in the northeastern state of Maranhão.

Security footage showed Renata walking along a hotel corridor with her boyfriend at around 1:30 a.m. The couple appeared to stop near a window while looking for their room key. Renata then moved toward the window and attempted to sit or lean against its frame.

Without warning, the aluminum structure detached, sending her falling backward from the seventh floor.

She landed on a canopy above the hotel’s entrance. Although she received medical attention, she did not survive.

The footage also showed her boyfriend remaining motionless for several moments after the fall. A hotel employee subsequently approached the area after the incident.

Police initially questioned the man before releasing him. Investigators said the available surveillance footage showed no indication that he had pushed Renata or physically assaulted her.

George Marques, the police chief overseeing the investigation, said there were no signs of aggression and that the man was not close to her when the window gave way. The boyfriend reportedly told investigators that he had been drinking and could not remember the moment of the fall.

Authorities are treating the dєatᩚh as an accident while forensic examinations continue. Investigators have inspected the window and its aluminum frame to establish why the structure detached and whether there were any safety or maintenance problems.

So far, officials have said there are no technical conclusions identifying the precise cause of the failure or confirming whether irregularities were present.

Renata and her boyfriend had traveled from the state of Pará to São Luís on October 28. They were reportedly staying at the hotel during a poker tournament and had been due to return home on the day she died.

The young mother leaves behind two children, including a four-year-old.

Her body was transported back to Ananindeua, in Pará, where her family and friends prepared to say their final goodbyes.

Her mother, Betty Negrão, spoke of the devastating shock of losing her daughter during what had been a leisure trip. She told local media: “My daughter went out to have fun, and I’m receiving her inside a coffin.”

The Rio Poty Hotel expressed its condolences to Renata’s loved ones and said it was cooperating with the authorities as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the tᩚraɢedy.

For her family, the holiday that was supposed to end with Renata returning home instead ended in an unimaginable loss. Meanwhile, investigators are still working to determine exactly why a hotel window gave way with such devastating consequences.
