Valentine (2001)

Directed by Jamie Blanks, Valentine is a slasher horror film based on the novel by Tom Savage. The story revolves around a group of women who are stalked by a mysterious killer wearing a Cupid mask in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day.

The film begins with a flashback to a school dance in 1988, where a boy named Jeremy Melton is humiliated and falsely accused by his classmates. Years later, the women involved in the incident—now adults—start receiving threatening Valentine’s cards and are targeted by the masked killer.

The cast includes Denise Richards, David Boreanaz, Marley Shelton, Jessica Capshaw, and Katherine Heigl. Known for its blend of suspense and traditional slasher elements, the film explores themes of revenge and the consequences of past actions.

While Valentine received mixed reviews, it has gained a following for its nostalgic nod to 1980s slasher films.
