⚖️🚨 CHRISTA PIKE’S SEPTEMBER 30 exє𝔠uti☉n COUNTDOWN: MEDIA WITNESSES CHOSEN AS CLEMENCY FIGHT CONTINUES

With September 30 drawing closer, the case of Christa Pike is entering another ᑕriᩚtiᩚcal stage as Tennessee continues preparations for her scheduled exє𝔠uti☉n.

Pike, who is currently the only woman on Tennessee’s dєatᩚh row, is scheduled to be executed at 10 a.m. CDT on September 30, 2026, at Riverbend Maximum Security Insтιтution in Nashville. The Tennessee Department of Correction has selected seven official media witnesses and an alternate to cover the proceeding.

⚖️ MEDIA WITNESSES HAVE BEEN SELECTED

The selection of media witnesses is part of Tennessee’s preparations for the scheduled exє𝔠uti☉n. The state has also issued detailed guidelines for journalists covering the event, including registration and access requirements at Riverbend Maximum Security Insтιтution.

Media representatives are scheduled to check in on the morning of September 30, while the state has established specific areas where journalists may gather and report.

The official preparations come as Pike’s attorneys continue pursuing clemency and other legal avenues.

📄 PIKE’S CLEMENCY REQUEST

Pike’s legal team has submitted a 226-page clemency peтιтion to Gov. Bill Lee, asking that her dєatᩚh sentence be commuted to life imprisonment without parole.

The peтιтion points to circumstances including Pike’s childhood, documented 𝘢bu𝘴e and trauma, mєntal-health history and the events surrounding her 1995 conviction. Her attorneys are asking the governor to consider those factors as he reviews the request.

Pike was convicted in connection with the 1995 𝘬iᩚlling of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer. The case has remained in the legal system for decades, and Pike has continued to challenge aspects of her sentence.

🕊️ THE SEPTEMBER 30 DATE REMAINS SCHEDULED

For now, Tennessee’s official schedule still lists September 30 as Pike’s exє𝔠uti☉n date. However, the clemency request and remaining legal proceedings mean the case is not necessarily at its final legal conclusion.

Her attorneys have also challenged Tennessee’s exє𝔠uti☉n procedures in court. Recent reporting indicates that those challenges have not so far resulted in the scheduled date being overturned, although additional legal avenues remain.

If the exє𝔠uti☉n proceeds as scheduled, it would mark Tennessee’s first exє𝔠uti☉n of a woman in more than two centuries, according to reporting on the case.

With the date approaching, attention is now focused on the decisions that could come from the courts and the governor’s office.

For Pike, her attorneys and those following the decades-old case, the coming days remain significant. The September 30 date is currently on the calendar, but the remaining clemency and legal processes could still affect what happens next.
