The search for Nancy Guthrie has drawn renewed attention following a report by The Midwest Pundit describing information allegedly provided by a man detained during an immigration enforcement operation in Texas.
According to the outlet, a source familiar with the investigation said the man claimed to have information about the disappearance of the 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.
The account reportedly involves two men who allegedly targeted Nancy’s home in what was described as a planned burglary. The source claims the encounter escalated into violence and that the informant subsequently provided investigators with information about a possible location connected to the case.
However, these details have not been independently verified, and law enforcement has not publicly confirmed the account.

The report further alleges that investigators are examining information about two men considered persons of interest and coordinating with immigration authorities and Mexican officials to pursue possible leads.
