New York Man Admits 𝘬iᩚlling Ex-Girlfriend and Keeping Her Severed Head in a Suitcase With a Flower

A New York man has pleaded guilty to murdering his former girlfriend, dismembering her body and keeping her severed head inside a suitcase with a flower, nearly two years after her family reported her missing.
Damon Foy, 50, admitted to 𝘬iᩚlling Alberta Dale, 44, between March 31 and April 1, 2024, at his apartment in Kerhonkson, New York, according to court records cited by the Daily Mail.
Dale had reportedly ended their relationship, and court records describe a history of domestic violence. She also had an order of protection against Foy.
Concern grew when Dale’s family could no longer reach her. They reported her missing on April 1 and asked police to check on her welfare, knowing about the troubled relationship and fearing for her safety.
During initial visits to Foy’s apartment, officers did not find Dale. Foy allegedly told them she had left the previous day using a rideshare service. Her car, however, remained parked outside the residence.
The following day, investigators returned to the apartment. Officers reportedly noticed a strong smell of bleach and cleaning supplies while searching the home.
Inside a closet, they discovered a suitcase that appeared unusually heavy. According to police accounts, Foy eventually whispered to a detective, “I killed her. She’s in there, I killed her.”
After obtaining a search warrant, officers opened the suitcase and found Dale’s severed head. A flower was also inside. The rest of her remains had been disposed of separately and have not all been recovered, according to reports.
When questioned about the flower, Foy reportedly told investigators that he had loved Dale. He also claimed that she had taken advantage of him, describing himself as having been played “like a sucker.”
Foy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in October 2026. Under the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped the other charges against him, and he faces a sentence of 23 years to life in prison.

His sentencing is scheduled for December 16, 2026.
The case has drawn renewed attention to the danger of domestic violence and the fears Dale reportedly expressed before her dєatᩚh. According to court records cited in news reports, she had previously warned a victim assistance worker that Foy might 𝘬iᩚll her if she went missing.
