WADE WILSON’S dєatᩚh SENTENCE: COULD HIS LEGAL FIGHT EVENTUALLY REACH THE U.S. SUPREME COURT?

WADE WILSON’S dєatᩚh SENTENCE: COULD HIS LEGAL FIGHT EVENTUALLY REACH THE U.S. SUPREME COURT?

His attorney has already signaled plans to take constitutional arguments to the nation’s highest court. But there is an important distinction: no confirmed U.S. Supreme Court review of Wilson’s case has been announced.

FLORIDA — Wade Wilson, the Florida man known online as the “Deadpool 𝘬iᩚller,” remains on dєatᩚh row as his legal battle over his two dєatᩚh sentences continues to draw attention.

Wilson was sentenced to dєatᩚh in August 2024 after being convicted of the 2019 murders of Kristine Melton, 35, and Diane Ruiz, 43, in Cape Coral, Florida.

His current appeal does not seek to overturn the murder convictions themselves. Instead, his defense has challenged the constitutionality of the dєatᩚh sentences, focusing in part on Florida’s law allowing a jury to recommend capital punishment without a unanimous vote.

Wade Wilson's 'Troubled' Early Years: The Making of A Convicted Killer - NewsweekWHY HIS ATTORNEY MENTIONED THE U.S. SUPREME COURT

On February 5, 2026, Wilson’s attorney, Michael Ufferman, appeared before the Florida Supreme Court.

Rather than repeat arguments that the court had already addressed in earlier cases, Ufferman said he wanted to preserve the constitutional arguments for possible review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The dispute involves Florida’s 2023 sentencing law, which permits a dєatᩚh recommendation when at least eight of 12 jurors support it.

In Wilson’s case, jurors voted 9–3 in favor of a dєatᩚh sentence for Melton’s murder and 10–2 for Ruiz’s murder.

His defense has argued that applying the newer law to crimes committed in 2019 raises constitutional questions.

Where Is Wade Wilson Now? Inside the Deadpool Killer's Life TodayHAS THE U.S. SUPREME COURT AGREED TO REVIEW HIS CASE?

No official confirmation has been found that the U.S. Supreme Court has accepted Wilson’s case for review.

Preserving a constitutional argument is not the same as filing a petition that the court has agreed to hear. The U.S. Supreme Court independently decides whether to accept cases brought before it.

The Florida appeal and any possible federal review are separate stages of the legal process. Wilson’s attorney’s comments indicate an intended legal route, not a decision by the nation’s highest court.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

The key question is how the Florida appellate proceedings conclude and whether Wilson’s legal team pursues a separate petition for review at the federal level.

For now, Wilson’s two dєatᩚh sentences remain in place. No confirmed U.S. Supreme Court review has been announced, and the possibility of a future appeal should not be confused with an overturned sentence.

The case continues to attract public attention, but its next major development will depend on official court filings and rulings — not online speculation.
