HEARTBREAKING NEW DETAILS EMERGE IN THE dєatᩚh OF 3-YEAR-OLD NOAH WOODS — INQUEST REVEALS HOW HE LEFT THE PLAYGROUND

A huge community search involving around 1,300 people ended in tᩚraɢedy. Now, an inquest has revealed new details about the little boy’s final movements.

BRANTHAM, SUFFOLK — New details have emerged in the heartbreaking case of three-year-old Noah Woods, whose disappearance sparked an extraordinary search effort before his body was discovered in a nearby pond.

At an inquest hearing on September 25, investigators revealed that Noah had left a children’s play area through a gap in a fence before heading toward Decoy Pond.

Noah had been visiting the playground in Merriam Close, Brantham, with a relative on September 15. CCTV footage showed him playing between approximately 2:13 p.m. and 2:37 p.m.

According to Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Connick, Noah went through a gap in the fence leading toward a memorial garden, then exited through an open gate.

His relative was following closely behind and trying to keep up. The officer told the hearing that the relative shouted after Noah, but after approximately 200 metres, the little boy could no longer be seen.

Police were contacted, and a large-scale search operation began.

The search brought together police officers, emergency services, specialist teams and approximately 1,300 members of the public.

People travelled from across the area to help locate Noah, while volunteers worked alongside rescue teams throughout the search.

On September 16, Metropolitan Police divers recovered Noah’s body from Decoy Pond.

The inquest heard that he was found approximately five metres from the bank, among submerged tree roots, at a depth estimated to be around 1.8 metres.

Police previously confirmed that his dєatᩚh was not being treated as suspicious.

THE LITTLE BOY HIS FAMILY WILL NEVER FORGET

In a deeply moving tribute released through Suffolk Police, Noah’s family described him as a happy, cheeky and playful little boy who loved to laugh and bring joy to everyone around him.

Noah lived with his parents and baby brother. His family said he absolutely adored his younger sibling and loved making him laugh.

He was being assessed for autism, although he had not received a diagnosis. He also had mild hearing loss and speech delays.

Despite those challenges, his family said he was learning new words every day and had only recently begun finding and using his little voice.

They remembered his affectionate nature, his love of hugs and kisses, and the special routine of being tickled to sleep every night.

Every Tuesday, Noah visited the park with a treasured relative. The family said they loved playing chase, running around and exploring the playground together.

Those ordinary moments had become memories they would treasure forever.

Noah’s mother, Charlie Peck, shared a simple but powerful message for other parents:

“If there is one thing we could ask of people, it is to hold their children a little tighter, cherish every moment, and never take those precious memories for granted.”

The inquest was opened and adjourned, with a further hearing to be arranged.

For Noah’s family, the little boy they remember is not defined by the circumstances of his final hours, but by the laughter, affection and happiness he brought into their lives.

They have asked people to remember him as the joyful little boy who loved running, playing chase and giggling.

And as the community continues to remember Noah, one message from his family remains especially poignant: he was loved, he was cherished, and he will never be forgotten.
