FAMILY OF FOUR, INCLUDING TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, AMONG NINE KILLED IN DEVASTATING FLORIDA LEARJET 𝔠r𝘢sh

Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp and their children Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were traveling to the Bahamas when the private jet crashed in Palm Beach County. Their families have now shared an emotional tribute to all nine victims.

A Texas family of four was among the nine people who lost their lives when a private Learjet 60 crashed in Florida, leaving loved ones mourning the loss of two devoted parents and their two young children.

Adam Robinson, 45, his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, and their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were aboard the aircraft when it crashed in Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

The family was traveling from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas when the aircraft went down near Greenacres, Florida, at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time.

All nine people aboard were killed. The victims included the Robinson family, two close family friends, the children’s nanny and both pilots.

‘EMMA AND CHARLIE WERE THE LIGHT OF THEIR LIVES’

Following the tᩚraɢedy, relatives of the victims released a joint statement remembering the Robinson family and the other people who died aboard the aircraft.

“Adam and Helen were devoted parents, and Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were the light of their lives,” the families said.

They also described the couple’s warmth and generosity, saying their ability to make others feel welcome had touched many lives.

“Their loss will be felt deeply by all those who loved them and who they loved in return,” the statement continued.

The tribute offered a glimpse into the lives behind the headlines: a couple remembered for their love for one another and their children, whose young lives ended alongside them.

TWO FAMILY FRIENDS AND THEIR NANNY ALSO LOST

The other passengers were identified as Rachael Reed, Charmi Fehr and Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, who cared for Emma and Charlie.

In the joint statement, the families remembered Rachael and Charmi as people full of joy and adventure who loved their friends and family deeply.

They also paid tribute to Anita, describing her as someone who cared for the children with tenderness and devotion.

“Anita Maria cared for Emma and Charlie with tenderness and devotion, and she was truly part of the family,” the statement said. “She showed us a legacy of unconditional love and devotion.”

The words highlighted the close bond between the nanny and the children she cared for, as well as the deep loss shared by the families and friends connected to all nine victims.

WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE LEARJET 𝔠r𝘢sh?

The Learjet 60 had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was heading toward the Bahamas when it encountered an emergency during the flight.

Air traffic control recordings captured the crew reporting icing and moderate turbulence while flying at approximately 35,000 feet.

The crew later requested permission to climb to 37,000 feet. Less than 30 seconds afterward, the aircraft began descending rapidly and issued a mayday call.

In the final communications, a female voice reported that the aircraft was descending at more than 20,000 feet per minute and said: “We’re going to 𝔠r𝘢sh into the ground.”

The recording ended with the words: “Holy f—, we’re out of time.” The identity of the person speaking in the recording has not been independently established.

INVESTIGATION INTO THE 𝔠r𝘢sh CONTINUES

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration.

At an initial briefing, NTSB officials said there were indications that parts of the aircraft may have begun breaking apart before impact. Investigators also identified the severe weather conditions in South Florida as a major focus of their work.

However, no definitive cause has been established. Authorities are continuing to examine the wreckage, flight data and other available evidence.

The nine victims included pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, and co-pilot Nathalia Filgueiras, 20, alongside the seven passengers.

For the families left behind, the investigation may eventually explain how the tᩚraɢedy happened. But it cannot undo the loss of nine people whose lives were closely connected.

As relatives remember Adam and Helen as devoted parents, Emma and Charlie as the center of their world, and Rachael, Charmi and Anita for the love they brought to others, the tᩚraɢedy is being felt far beyond the 𝔠r𝘢sh site.
