AN ENTIRE FAMILY LOST IN FLORIDA PRIVATE JET 𝔠r𝘢sh: TECH ENTREPRENEUR, WIFE AND THEIR TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, AGES 4 AND 2, AMONG NINE VICTIMS

A family vacation that was supposed to bring happiness and create lasting memories ended in unimaginable tᩚraɢedy when a private jet crashed in South Florida, 𝘬iᩚlling all nine people aboard — including a technology entrepreneur, his wife and their two young children.

Adam Robinson, 45, was traveling with his wife, Helen Sharp, and their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, just 2 years old, when their Learjet 60 went down in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

The family had departed from Austin, Texas, and was heading to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. They never reached their destination.

Also aboard were family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, as well as Anita Maria Cetina, who helped care for the couple’s young children. Two members of the flight crew were also among those killed.

The 𝔠r𝘢sh claimed nine lives in total, leaving several families grieving an unimaginable loss.

Adam Robinson and Helen Sharp were devoted parents whose two children were at the center of their lives.

In a joint statement released by the victims’ families, loved ones described Emma and Charlie as the light of their parents’ lives.

The statement confirmed that Adam and Helen had been traveling with their children when the aircraft crashed near Greenacres, Florida.

For those who knew the family, the loss is particularly devastating because four members of the same household were taken in a single moment.

Emma was only 4 years old. Her younger brother, Charlie, was just 2.

They were at an age when the world was still full of first experiences, new discoveries and childhood adventures.

Their parents had their whole lives ahead of them, filled with plans to watch their children grow, celebrate birthdays and create memories together.

Instead, their family story ended far too soon.

A TRIP TO THE BAHAMAS THAT ENDED IN tᩚraɢedy

The Learjet 60 departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas on Sunday morning, bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

The aircraft was operated by Aurora Aviation, doing business as Upper Jets.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), two crew members and seven passengers were aboard.

At approximately 12:47 p.m. Eastern Time, the flight crew contacted air traffic control and reported encountering ice accumulation and moderate turbulence.

The pilots initially described the icing as manageable. They later requested permission to climb from approximately 35,000 feet to 37,000 feet in search of better conditions.

Shortly afterward, the situation deteriorated rapidly.

The crew reported that the aircraft was descending at an alarming rate and eventually issued a mayday call.

Air traffic control recordings captured the desperate communications as the pilots struggled to manage the emergency.

The aircraft reportedly descended at thousands of feet per minute before communication was lost.

At approximately 12:51 p.m., the Learjet crashed in the Greenacres area of Palm Beach County.

All nine people aboard were killed.

THE MOMENT THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE GROUND

The 𝔠r𝘢sh occurred near Military Trail, between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North.

The impact caused a massive fire and left a large crater in the roadway, with debris scattered across the surrounding area.

Witnesses described a terrifying scene as emergency crews rushed to the location.

The nearby residential community was evacuated while authorities worked to secure the 𝔠r𝘢sh site and investigate the wreckage.

Approximately 600 residents were affected by the evacuation.

The tᩚraɢedy also caused major disruption to the surrounding neighborhood, as roads were closed and emergency personnel continued their response.

SEVEN PASSENGERS AND TWO CREW MEMBERS LOST

The families later released a joint statement identifying seven passengers who died in the 𝔠r𝘢sh:

  • Adam Robinson, a technology entrepreneur.
  • Helen Sharp, his wife.
  • Emma Robinson, their 4-year-old daughter.
  • Charlie Robinson, their 2-year-old son.
  • Rachael Reed, a family friend.
  • Charmi Fehr, a family friend.
  • Anita Maria Cetina, who helped care for Emma and Charlie.

The statement paid a particularly touching tribute to Anita, describing her as someone who cared for the children with tenderness and devotion.

She was not simply someone who helped look after the children. She was described as a person who had become part of the family.

Her loss, alongside the deaths of Adam, Helen and the children, has added another layer of heartbreak to an already devastating tᩚraɢedy.

The two flight crew members were also killed. Their deaths brought the total number of victims to nine.

INVESTIGATORS EXAMINE WHAT WENT WRONG

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the NTSB are investigating the 𝔠r𝘢sh.

During an initial briefing on November 2, NTSB officials said investigators were examining the aircraft’s final communications, weather conditions, possible ice accumulation and the sequence of events that led to the rapid descent.

Investigators also disclosed that there was evidence suggesting parts of the aircraft may have separated before impact.

However, officials emphasized that the investigation was still in its early stages and that no final cause had been determined.

The aircraft’s wreckage, systems, flight information and available communications are among the evidence being examined.

The findings will be crucial in understanding why a routine journey to the Bahamas turned into a disaster.

NINE LIVES, COUNTLESS BROKEN HEARTS

For the families and friends of those aboard, the investigation cannot undo what happened.

Behind the headlines are parents who have lost their children, relatives who have lost loved ones and friends who are struggling to understand how an ordinary journey could end so suddenly.

For Adam and Helen’s extended family, the loss is especially heartbreaking.

They did not lose only a husband and wife. They lost two little children who should have had decades of life ahead of them.

Emma and Charlie will never grow up, celebrate another birthday or experience the many milestones their parents had hoped to share with them.

The families have asked for privacy as they grieve and remember those who were lost.

A journey that was meant to be a joyful family getaway became a tᩚraɢedy that changed multiple lives forever.

Nine people boarded the aircraft that Sunday. None returned home.

May Adam Robinson, Helen Sharp, little Emma and Charlie, Anita Maria Cetina, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, along with both crew members, rest in peace.

May their families find strength and comfort in the midst of a loss no words can truly express.
