Arizona Mother Defends Fiancé Accused of Plotting Her 𝘴єxual Assault With a Stranger He Met on Reddit

An Arizona mother has publicly defended her fiancé after police accused him of arranging for a stranger to sexually assault her inside their home while she cared for their two young children.
Bella Torres spoke out during a court hearing in November, insisting that 23-year-old Zarian Dyer had nothing to do with the October 16 attack. Her statement has added a disturbing twist to a case in which investigators say online messages revealed an alleged plan involving a stranger recruited through Reddit.
The incident happened at Torres’ home in Buckeye, near Phoenix. She was inside with her children when a 20-year-old man, identified as Adrian Ayala, allegedly appeared at the front door.
According to court documents, Ayala asked to use the bathroom. When Torres refused, he allegedly forced his way inside, choked her and attempted to remove her clothing. She fought back, hitting and kicking him before managing to get outside and drive him away.
During the confrontation, Ayala reportedly told her that her fiancé had sent him and claimed that they had met through Reddit. Torres initially struggled to believe the explanation.
The attack also allegedly involved Torres’ 17-month-old daughter. Court documents say Ayala kicked the toddler, causing her to fall and hit her head against a baby gate.
Police arrested Ayala on October 17. Investigators subsequently examined electronic devices belonging to him and Dyer, saying they uncovered messages that allegedly connected the two men to a planned assault.
According to prosecutors, the messages showed Dyer discussing the attack, providing instructions about when Ayala should arrive and where he should park. Investigators also alleged that Dyer wanted Ayala to contact him through FaceTime during the assault.
One particularly disturbing allegation concerns a message in which the person using the Reddit account allegedly told Ayala that Torres did not know about the plan and that he should proceed even if she resisted.
Dyer was arrested at his workplace and charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, 𝘴єxual 𝘢bu𝘴e, attempted 𝘴єxual assault, kidnapping and conspiracy. His bond was set at $500,000.
However, Torres has rejected the police theory that her fiancé arranged the attack. During the November 4 court hearing, she described the accusations as false and said Ayala had fabricated the story to explain his own actions.
She also recounted the terrifying moment she realized the person entering her home was not her partner returning from the grocery store, but a stranger.
Ayala’s attorney has argued that his client believed the encounter was a consensual role-play scenario. Ayala has been released from custody under court-ordered conditions, including a prohibition on contacting the victims. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Dyer remains in custody as the investigation and legal proceedings continue.

The case now centers on two sharply conflicting accounts: police say digital evidence points to a coordinated plan, while the woman at the center of the attack insists her fiancé was falsely accused. Neither defendant has been convicted, and the allegations will ultimately be tested in court.
