Nanny’s Final Video Call to Sister Before Florida Learjet 𝔠r𝘢sh Revealed: ‘She Was So Happy’

A 24-year-old nanny who died alongside a Texas family in a fiery Florida private jet 𝔠r𝘢sh spent her final moments sharing her excitement about an upcoming trip to the Bahamas with her sister.
Anita Maria Centina made a video call to her sister, Angie Ramirez Cetina, shortly before the Learjet 60 took off on November 1. During the call, she reportedly showed her the children she cared for and the aircraft, unaware that the journey would end in tᩚraɢedy.
Anita was among nine people killed when the private jet crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, shortly before 1 p.m. The aircraft was traveling from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
‘She Was Truly Happy’
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, Angie recalled how excited her younger sister had been about the trip.
Anita had never visited the Bahamas before and was looking forward to the experience. Although she was traveling as the family’s nanny, her sister said she genuinely loved her job and felt deeply connected to the children.
“She was truly happy because she had never been to the Bahamas, and even though she was working, she didn’t see it as work. She enjoyed it,” Angie recalled.
She also described Anita’s relationship with the Robinson family, saying her sister loved the children and the people she worked for.
The final video call became one of the family’s most painful memories after they learned what had happened to the aircraft.
Sister Initially Refused to Believe the News
Angie said she first struggled to accept that her sister might have been aboard the jet after seeing footage of the aircraft crashing in Florida.
She remembered not wanting to believe that Anita could have been involved.
Her worst fears were confirmed the following morning, when their mother called to tell her that Anita had indeed been on the doomed flight.
The sisters had shared an especially close relationship. Angie described them as inseparable and recalled how Anita had supported her throughout her pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum recovery.
Anita had also developed a special bond with her nephew, whom she adored and loved spending time with.
For Angie, the loss means not only saying goodbye to her sister but also to the person who had stood beside her through some of the most important moments of her life.
Nanny Was Considered Part of the Robinson Family
Anita had been caring for Adam Robinson and Helen Sharp’s two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2.
The family was also aboard the aircraft, along with two close friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, and the two pilots.
In a statement released after the 𝔠r𝘢sh, relatives described Anita as someone who cared for the children with tenderness and devotion.
They emphasized that she was truly part of the family and that her love and dedication had left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
The 𝔠r𝘢sh claimed the lives of all nine people aboard the aircraft.
What Happened During the Final Minutes?
The Learjet 60, operated by Aurora Aviation under the name Upper Jets, departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on November 1, bound for the Bahamas.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the crew reported encountering light clear icing and moderate turbulence while flying at approximately 35,000 feet.
The pilots then requested permission to climb to 37,000 feet because of precipitation. Air traffic control approved the request.
Less than 30 seconds later, the aircraft began a rapid descent. The crew declared an emergency and reported an overspeed condition before communication was lost.
The jet crashed in the Greenacres area of Palm Beach County, creating a large crater and scattering debris across the surrounding area.
Investigators are examining the aircraft’s wreckage, flight data and weather conditions to determine what caused the disaster. No final cause has been established.

For Anita’s sister, however, the investigation cannot change the memory of their final conversation. She remembers a young woman excited about a new destination, proudly showing the children she loved and looking forward to the journey ahead.
It was the last time they would speak.
