TOM JONES, 86, FORCED TO POSTPONE CONCERTS AFTER BEING STRUCK DOWN BY A BAD CASE OF THE FLU
Music legend Sir Tom Jones has been forced to step away from the stage on medical advice, leaving fans concerned after the iconic singer announced the postponement of two major US concerts.
Sir Tom Jones has apologised to fans after falling ill with what he described as “a bad case of the flu,” forcing him to reschedule two performances on the North American leg of his Come Gather Round World Tour.
The 86-year-old Welsh singer was due to perform in Los Angeles on Monday, October 26, and San Diego on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. However, following advice from his doctor, he confirmed that both shows would have to be postponed.
The announcement came after the legendary performer had completed 20 shows across the United States, entertaining audiences throughout the country.
In a message shared on social media, Tom explained that the illness had taken him by surprise and that he was unable to perform as planned.
“I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience caused,” he told fans, adding that he looked forward to seeing them soon.
NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR DISAPPOINTED FANS
Despite the sudden disruption, replacement dates have been arranged for both performances.
The San Diego concert at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is now scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, while the Los Angeles show at the Greek Theatre has been moved to Wednesday, November 4.
Fans who have already purchased tickets can use them for the rescheduled dates. Those unable to attend are advised to contact their original point of purchase about a refund.
The news prompted an outpouring of supportive messages from fans, many wishing the singer a speedy recovery and urging him to take the time he needs to rest.
