The Florida mom accused of leaving her four kids home alone while traveling to Las Vegas for nearly a week filed for divorce against her allegedly abusive husband just last month, according to court documents.
Irene Miller, 50 – who was arrested on child endangerment charges after her youngest kid was hit in the head with a dumbbell while she was gone last week – filed a petition to end her 15-year marriage with the children’s father, Mark Miller, in Osceola County court on Sept. 17, online court records show.
Less than one month earlier, Mark Miller, 53, was charged with criminal battery and given a restraining order after he allegedly smacked his wife’s phone out of her hand during a heated discussion outside of the children’s school, according to a police report.

The restraining order prohibited the dad from coming within 500 feet of Irene Miller, and stated that a court hearing was necessary to determine whether he would be allowed to have contact with their four shared children, aged 9, 11, 12, and 14.
Mark Miller pleaded not guilty to the battery charge and requested a jury trial, according to the docs.
The Post reached out to the dad and his defense attorney in that case. The status of the couple’s divorce proceedings was not immediately clear.

Irene Miller’s child-neglect charges followed a 911 call one of the kids made from their home in Kissimmee, Fla., to report that the youngest child had been hurt by a dumbbell that somehow fell on his head, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release on Monday.
Deputies arrived and found the youngsters with no adult supervision. The hurt 9-year-old boy was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released, police added, though they did not detail his injuries.

Investigators called Miller and learned the mom had left for the work trip across the country the previous Sunday, and planned to return home five days later.
Miller, a professional photographer, appeared to be working with a client in Las Vegas, who was involved with the real estate brokerage franchise network, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, according to her social media.
The mom told deputies she had a babysitter coming to her home to care for her four kids before and after school, but the babysitter was not required to stay overnight.
The children’s father, who was born in Ukraine, was then contacted and took all of the kids to his home, cops said, though it wasn’t clear whether this violated his restraining order.
Irene Miller, who was born in Russia, was booked into Orange County Jail on Friday but released less than 24 hours later on $4,000 surety bond, an Orange County Corrections Department rep told The Post Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear when she will appear in court next, though that hearing will take place in Osceola County, according to the rep.
Irene Miller and a lawyer representing her in the divorce proceedings did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
