Venezuelan Singer Gus Ormo Found Dead in His Pool as Investigators Probe Suspicious Circumstances

Venezuelan singer, songwriter and pianist Gustavo “Gus” Ormo was found dead in the swimming pool of his home in Weston, Florida, on October 16, 2026. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his dєatᩚh as suspicious.
Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded at around 9 a.m. to a report of a possible drowning at the property. Emergency personnel found Ormo submerged in the pool and pronounced him dead at the scene, according to local news reports.
The discovery raised questions after a long cord was reportedly seen near the pool and extending into the water. Emergency communications also reportedly described the body as tied up. However, authorities have not publicly confirmed that Ormo was restrained or explained whether the cord was connected to his dєatᩚh.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office has assigned homicide detectives and crime scene investigators to the case. Ormo’s body was taken to the county medical examiner’s office, where an examination is expected to help establish the cause of dєatᩚh.
His sister, Antonieta Ormo, told local media that the family did not know what had happened and was struggling with the loss. No suspects or arrests had been publicly announced in the reports reviewed, and investigators had not determined whether another person was involved.
Ormo, who was originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, built a following through romantic songs and piano performances. He released his album Alquimia in 2025 and had recently promoted AGAPE, an instrumental project centered on piano music. He was still sharing music-related content on social media shortly before his dєatᩚh.

The investigation remains open. Until authorities release further findings, the circumstances of Ormo’s dєatᩚh remain unclear.
