Chad Lowe and Family Honor Daughter Fiona with Private Celebration of Life

Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, recently gathered with relatives and close friends for a private celebration of life dedicated to their daughter Fiona, who died at the age of 13. The intimate service took place over the weekend and was attended only by family members and those closest to the family, according to reports.

Fiona pᴀssed away on September 29, 2026. In a statement released shortly after her dєatᩚh, her parents described the profound sense of loss they and the rest of the family were experiencing. They remembered her as a loving, intelligent, and creative young girl who enjoyed dancing. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the statement said. “In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her pᴀssing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”

Fiona is survived by her parents and her two sisters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. In the days following her dєatᩚh, Mabel shared a personal message on social media expressing her love for her younger sister and her intention to keep Fiona’s memory alive. She wrote that she hoped Fiona’s mind was now at peace and that she wished her sister’s time had been easier.

A family friend later shared that Fiona had been significantly affected by the loss of the family’s home in the Palisades fire the previous year, an event that left the household without many of their belongings and disrupted their sense of stability. The friend described Fiona as a bright and outgoing presence who easily connected with others.

Nearly two weeks after Fiona’s dєatᩚh, the family made their first public appearance together at the wedding of Chad’s nephew, Matthew Lowe — the son of actor Rob Lowe — on October 10 in Santa Barbara. PH๏τographs from the event showed Chad seated with Mabel, Kim, and Nixie among relatives and friends, marking a quiet step back into public life while still grieving.

The private celebration of life offered those who knew and loved Fiona an opportunity to remember her in a personal and meaningful way. The family has continued to request privacy as they navigate this difficult period.
