Pennsylvania Father Kills His Two Young Children Before Jumping to His dєatᩚh as Wife Reveals Heartbreaking Final Plans

A Pennsylvania mother is facing an unimaginable loss after her husband and their two young children died in an apparent murder-sᩚuᩚiᩚcide, just one day before the father was due to attend his first scheduled therapy appointment.
Patrick Lynch, 42, and his children, James Lynch, 8, and Caroline Lynch, 6, were found dead near a parking garage behind the municipal building in Mt. Lebanon, a suburb of Pittsburgh, on November 3.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of three people lying unconscious in the street. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but all three were pronounced dead.
Authorities initially said the victims had suffered injuries consistent with an apparent fall. Investigators later identified the incident as an apparent murder-sᩚuᩚiᩚcide.
According to reports, Patrick allegedly threw his two children from the parking garage before jumping to his own dєatᩚh. Police have not publicly released a complete account of exactly how the tᩚraɢedy unfolded.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Patrick, James and Caroline. Both children died from multiple blunt-force injuries, and their deaths were officially classified as homicides. Patrick’s dєatᩚh was ruled a sᩚuᩚiᩚcide.
In the days following the tᩚraɢedy, the children’s mother, Anna DeMase Lynch, shared an emotional account of what her family had been going through.
She said her husband had been laid off from his job in August and became depressed afterward. She had encouraged him to seek professional help, and he eventually agreed to attend therapy.
His appointment had been scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, just one day after the three family members were found dead.
Reflecting on the devastating timing, Anna reportedly wrote: “One day too late.”
She also remembered her children in a heartbreaking tribute, describing them as her angels.
The case has left the close-knit Mt. Lebanon community in shock. Police Chief Jason Haberman warned that the tᩚraɢedy would have a significant emotional impact on local residents and families.
“Everybody in the Mt. Lebanon community will know somebody involved in this incident,” he said.
The deaths also deeply affected the children’s schools. Markham and Washington elementary schools temporarily closed as the district arranged support for students and staff. Caroline’s childcare center also announced a temporary closure so employees could receive professional counseling.
Friends and community members gathered near the scene, leaving flowers and other tributes in memory of James and Caroline.
Authorities said there was no ongoing threat to the public, but the investigation continued as officials worked to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.

For Anna, the tᩚraɢedy represents the loss of her husband and two beloved children in a single devastating incident. Her account of the therapy appointment that never came has added another heartbreaking dimension to a case that has shaken the entire community.
