Wife Who Smeared Her Own Feces Into Husband’s Mouth After Pub Argument Walks Out of Court With Suspended Sentence

A 63-year-old woman who subjected her husband to a horrifying assault by smearing her own feces into his mouth during a domestic dispute has avoided immediate imprisonment.

Alison Moore carried out the degrading attack at the couple’s £1 million farmhouse in Damerham, in the New Forest, on August 20. Southampton Crown Court heard that the assault followed an argument after the pair had been drinking at a pub.

Moore was reportedly furious because she believed her husband had failed to stand up for her during an earlier disagreement at the pub. She also called him “boring” before the confrontation escalated at their home.

During the attack, Moore pushed her husband onto their bed and threatened: “You talk so much s**t, I’m going to make you eat it.”

She then smeared her own excrement into his mouth and across his face.

Her husband eventually managed to break free and rushed to the bathroom to wash himself. Before cleaning up, he took a photograph documenting the 𝘴h☉𝔠king aftermath. The image was later presented as evidence in court.

Prosecutor Andrew Coley told the court that the assault was part of a prolonged pattern of violence against her husband. Previous incidents allegedly included striking him in the face with a ring and hitting him across the back with a broom handle. Photographs showed injuries above his eye and redness across his back.

Moore pleaded guilty to three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. She was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for 18 months. She was also ordered to complete rehabilitation activities and 100 hours of unpaid work, and to pay compensation and court costs.

Judge Gary Lucie described the use of feces during the attack as a “gratuitous degradation” of the victim. He acknowledged that Moore had experienced difficult personal circumstances, including the deaths of family members, but made clear that these did not excuse her behavior.

Her defense lawyer, Rose Burns, told the court that Moore deeply regretted her actions and accepted full responsibility. The defense also described her struggles with depression, bereavement and alcohol.

In a particularly striking detail, Moore and her husband left the courthouse together after the sentencing. Her husband had attended the hearing and remained throughout the proceedings. He had also asked that his victim impact statement not be read aloud and did not want a restraining order imposed.

The case has drawn attention not only because of the disturbing nature of the assault, but also because of the court’s decision to impose a suspended sentence despite evidence of repeated violence within the marriage.
