THREE MASKED MEN INVADE TORONTO FAMILY’S MANSION AT 3:40 A.M. — 75-YEAR-OLD FATHER AND TWO DAUGHTERS SHOT, WIFE ATTACKED WITH HAMMER

David Morton and his family were asleep inside their Bridle Path home when armed intruders allegedly forced their way through a rear entrance, demanded valuables and launched a terrifying assault.

A wealthy Toronto family is recovering after three masked men stormed their home in the early hours of Thursday morning, leaving a 75-year-old father and his two adult daughters with gunshot wounds.

The terrifying home invasion happened at approximately 3:40 a.m. on October 29, 2026, at a five-bedroom property in the exclusive Bridle Path neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada.

The family was inside when the intruders allegedly forced their way through a rear entrance, carrying firearms and a hammer.

According to Toronto police, the suspects made their way to the second floor, where they confronted the occupants and demanded valuables.

The situation quickly escalated into a violent struggle.

Multiple śh́óts were fired, striking David Morton and his daughters, Maggie, 28, and Cristina, 26.

Their mother, 64-year-old Doriana Zohil-Morton, was also attacked with a hammer but was not shot.

All four family members were taken to hospital for emergency treatment.

David Morton, the chief executive of real estate company The MAC Group, released an emotional statement on Friday on behalf of his family.

He described the incident as a terrifying and life-threatening experience in the one place where everyone should feel safest.

“During the attack, three members of our family were shot and are currently recovering in hospital,” he explained.

He also confirmed that all four family members had been attacked with a hammer, leaving everyone injured and requiring emergency medical attention.

“It is difficult to put into words the trauma of experiencing something so horrific in the one place where everyone should feel safest: their own home.”

He added that no family should ever have to experience such an ordeal.

WIFE RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AS FAMILY FACES RECOVERY

The attack left the family facing a difficult recovery.

David and his two daughters remained hospitalized with gunshot wounds in the latest reports on Friday. Their conditions were not fully disclosed.

Doriana, who was struck with a hammer during the incident, was subsequently released from hospital.

The family is now focused on supporting one another through the physical and emotional aftermath of the invasion.

THREE MASKED SUSPECTS STILL AT LARGE

Toronto police are searching for three male suspects believed to be approximately 20 years old.

Investigators described them as wearing dark clothing and face coverings. The men reportedly fled the property in a dark-coloured SUV.

Police have warned that the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators are examining what happened inside the residence and whether the intruders managed to take any valuables.

Authorities have not established a confirmed motive or announced any arrests in connection with the attack.

POLICE PROMISE RELENTLESS SEARCH

Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said experienced investigators and specialized teams were following every lead to identify those responsible.

He acknowledged the devastating impact the incident had on the family and the wider community.

Residents in the surrounding neighbourhood have also been advised to expect an increased police presence while the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone who may have relevant security-camera, doorbell-camera or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.

A FAMILY’S SAFETY SHATTERED IN THE EARLY HOURS

The Bridle Path neighbourhood is known for its large private estates and high-value properties.

But for the Morton family, the events of October 29 have turned their own home into the scene of a deeply traumatic experience.

As David and his daughters continue receiving treatment, their family is left trying to recover from an attack that unfolded while they were supposed to be safe behind their own doors.

For now, three suspects remain at large, and investigators are working to establish exactly what happened during those terrifying early-morning hours.
