COLEEN NOLAN, 61, SAYS GOODBYE TO HER DREAM FARM AS SHE PREPARES FOR A NEW LIFE WITH BOYFRIEND — BUT WHAT HAPPENS TO HER 30 ANIMALS?
After years of dreaming about owning a countryside home filled with animals, Coleen Nolan is preparing to close an emotional chapter of her life.
The 61-year-old Loose Women star has revealed that she is downsizing and leaving behind her six-acre Staffordshire farm, the property she bought in 2024 to fulfill a lifelong dream.
But while her decision has attracted attention because of her new relationship with boyfriend Ryan Brockbank, Coleen has explained that the change is also closely connected to a major shift in her family life.
And for fans who have followed her journey on the farm, one question matters just as much as where she is going next: what will happen to all those animals?
WHY COLEEN IS LEAVING THE FARM
Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women on November 2, Coleen explained that the decision began taking shape months before she met Ryan.
Her daughter Ciara, who lives on the property with her partner Maxx and their young child, told her that they were planning to move out and start their own family life.
Coleen said she was happy for them, but their departure would leave her facing the enormous responsibility of managing the farm largely on her own.
She admitted:
“The dream of it has been everything I wanted it to be but the reality is really hard.”
The property had been a dream come true, but looking after a large number of animals while balancing television work and family commitments had become increasingly demanding.
With Ciara preparing to move out, Coleen realized that continuing to run the farm alone would be a different challenge altogether.
THE FUTURE OF HER 30 ANIMALS REVEALED
Perhaps the most emotional part of Coleen’s announcement concerns the animals that have made the property feel like home.
During an appearance on This Morning in 2025, Coleen revealed that she had around 30 animals, including horses, pygmy goats, cats, dogs, chickens and ducks.
Now, she has explained how they will be affected by her move.
Her horses have already found what she described as beautiful new homes.
Her goats, ducks and chickens are expected to remain at the farm with its eventual new owners.
There is also reassuring news for fans who have grown attached to her dogs and cats: Coleen confirmed that they will be moving with her.
“The dogs and the cats are fine with us but the horses have got beautiful new homes and I think the goats, ducks and the chickens are staying on the farm,” she explained.
So while the farm’s animal family will no longer remain entirely together, Coleen has made arrangements for the horses and plans to take her cats and dogs into her next home.
A NEW CHAPTER WITH RYAN BROCKBANK
Coleen’s plans have also coincided with a new romance.
The television personality went public with Ryan Brockbank in August 2026. Ryan, 47, is 14 years younger than Coleen, and the pair have since appeared increasingly happy together.
Speaking about the next stage of her life, Coleen made it clear that she is excited about having someone special alongside her.
“I met Ryan then it was like okay if I’m going to downsize, I’ve got someone wonderful to do that with and start a whole new adventure of life with someone new,” she said.
According to reports, Ryan was the one who initially made contact, sending her a message on Instagram asking whether she would like to meet for a drink.
Their relationship has since become a regular talking point among fans, particularly after the couple revealed matching tattoos.
Coleen has also opened up about how her feelings toward marriage have changed since finding love again, although she has made clear that her daughter Ciara’s wedding next year will take priority.
FROM HER “HAPPY PLACE” TO A FRESH START
When Coleen first moved to the Staffordshire countryside in 2024, she described the farm as a dream come true.
The six-acre property offered space for her animals, a quieter lifestyle and precious time with her family.
She had previously spoken about how much she loved being around animals, saying they did not care about television appearances, makeup or what she was wearing.
For someone whose career has kept her in the public eye for decades, the farm offered a place where she could simply be herself.
That is what makes this decision particularly emotional.
She is not simply moving out of a house. She is saying goodbye to a lifestyle she once imagined would be part of her future for many years.
But Coleen appears ready to embrace the change rather than remain tied to a dream that has become increasingly difficult to manage.
FANS WATCH AS COLEEN BEGINS HER NEXT CHAPTER
The news has prompted discussion among fans, with many understanding how difficult it can be to balance a demanding career, family responsibilities and the daily care of so many animals.
Others have focused on the emotional side of leaving a property that meant so much to her.
For Coleen, however, the decision appears to be about finding a more manageable way of living while making room for a new relationship and a different future.
Her farm may have been the dream she worked toward for years, but she is now choosing to begin another chapter.
And although the countryside home is being left behind, the memories — and the animals she is taking with her — will remain part of her story.
